Having two-shotted Festergut on Wednesday the Thursday raid went to practice it's skills against Rotface.
We started where we left off getting to the 'double ooze' phase a few times and trying a few different tactics out. As with most fights it's simply a case of each raider becoming familiar with the ebb and flow of the encounter. Saving Heroism for 35%, multiple off-tanks to manage the inevitable extra big oozes, trying out cleansing totems for that phase, etc.
We knew we'd make the kill when we wiped with 200k left on his health bar (0.6%!!!) - I felt particularly bad as I'd failed on the previous ooze explosion and died with 10% left to go.
Next attempt was, as a meerkat would have it, 'Simples!'. Only one player corpse was in sight as we applied the face-cream, popped a few zits and removed the rot.
A few attempts at Blood Council and it was time to head off and knock off Flame Leviathan for the weekly raid quest and then a well earned nap!
