Having two-shotted Festergut on Wednesday the Thursday raid went to practice it's skills against Rotface.
We started where we left off getting to the 'double ooze' phase a few times and trying a few different tactics out. As with most fights it's simply a case of each raider becoming familiar with the ebb and flow of the encounter. Saving Heroism for 35%, multiple off-tanks to manage the inevitable extra big oozes, trying out cleansing totems for that phase, etc.
We knew we'd make the kill when we wiped with 200k left on his health bar (0.6%!!!) - I felt particularly bad as I'd failed on the previous ooze explosion and died with 10% left to go.
Next attempt was, as a meerkat would have it, 'Simples!'. Only one player corpse was in sight as we applied the face-cream, popped a few zits and removed the rot.
A few attempts at Blood Council and it was time to head off and knock off Flame Leviathan for the weekly raid quest and then a well earned nap!

It's been a little while since the Pride made 25-man progress in ICC having switched focus to 10-man encounters to gain familiarity with tactics. On the backdrop of this we decided to do a DPS check against Festergut to see how far off the minimim DPS we were...
It only took us two attempts to down him. The first showed clearly that we were very close to the magic numbers. The second attempt saw him die with 18 seconds left on the enrage timer.
The 5% buff to healing, helath and DPS clearly made enough difference here. The healing team in particular excelled with all others playing a flawless game.
Congratulations to all who made this advancement and also on the solid attempts on Rotface getting him down to under 5%. Just a little more focus in the last 35% should see us down the ugly bugger. |

Slight changes to the team that downed The Beasts last week saw them dispatched with aplomb and Lord Jaraxxus slain in only a few attempts. More learning ensued on the Faction Champions with the encounter proving a little too much on the night.
A second 10-man group ran through Onyxia, VoA and TOTC with great sucess and dipped their toes into TOTGC making it through to the second phase of Beasts. Well done Guys! |

It can be anything from a short story, a guide, a write-up of a raid or anything else in-game. Discussion of tactics, progress, etc. Basically a longer version of anything you'd consider writing on the forums where the bulk of our discussions take place.

Within a couple of tries the Northrend Beasts on 10-man heroic went down with only a couple of deaths to boot. Jaraxxus was a bit harder, but he too will fall soon! |
